Monday, Reality, and Momentum

Monday. A new year. Back to work.

I don’t know about you, but I have lots of email and calls to wade through today. It could be completely overwhelming after some time off and the expectations of cranking it up for the New Year. What reality are you walking into this morning?

Remember when mom used to say eat your vegetables first? Or do the hard work first? What if I did some easy tasks first today instead of tackling that gigantic in-box?
How about we start with a few small tasks that we can knock out quickly. Get some momentum going. Maybe give a new look to our reality this Monday.

How’s your Monday looking? What helps you get momentum?

  • Momentum is a great way to tackle a Monday. Looking back, I think that is how I tackled the first Monday of the new year.

The best way for me to gain momentum is to start doing something that I want to be doing. Once I am running full steam I start bouncing around to other projects.

  • Jason,
Good angle on that. It does help to start with things I like. Sometimes, though I just procrastinate : )
